First Visit

We are always excited to meet new patients! Your first visit will include a comprehensive examination and assessment of your case, including a review of any patient history or x-rays that have been provided. If necessary, diagnostic x-rays will be taken so that your situation can be thoroughly evaluated and the ideal treatment plan can be determined. Your doctor will discuss your diagnosis, explain procedures, and sedation options, and create a treatment plan that addresses your individual needs. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about treatment options during your visit.

Reminders regarding your first visit:

  • Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to your appointment if you have not completed your registration forms prior to your appointment
  • Bring your dental insurance card to your appointment
  • Provide a list of your current medications and any dental records, x-rays etc... from your previous dentist
  • Inform our office if you have a medical condition such as diabetes, high blood pressure, rheumatic fever, artificial joints or heart valves, etc...

Whether you need a cleaning, a filling, or even a brand-new smile, we are here to help. Great dental care doesn't just make for a fantastic smile, it also helps promote overall health and wellness. We want you to have the confidence to share your smile with the world!

Pediatric First Visit

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentists recommend that children receive their first dental check-up by the age of 1. These first visits can help your child begin to get comfortable in a dental setting and allow us to observe any dental changes from an early age. Informing your child about their first dental visit is very helpful. During the visit, we will get to know your child and help them feel comfortable in the office by explaining what will happen during the visit and showing them the tools we will use to help keep their smile healthy.

We encourage parents to accompany their child during their visit. This provides an opportunity to see us working with your child and allows us to discuss dental findings and treatment needs directly with you. At your child’s first visit, we will review your child's  medical/dental health history with you, perform a thorough head and neck examination, and evaluate your child's teeth and gums. Digital radiographs (x-rays) are taken only if necessary. If no treatment is needed, the teeth will be cleaned and a fluoride treatment will be provided.

We look forward to meeting you and your child for your first appointment!
